The church is on the outskirts of Bayboro, NC in a very small community consisting of the Credle, Himbry, Fisher, Garrison and Gibbs families. It is adjacent to the final resting place for most of the family of James O. Credle and the extended families. The church experienced a period of inactivity for many years, until invigorated by its current pastor Reverend Tony Credle. Tony is the great-grandson of James O. Credle, one of the first farmers of the county. Reverend Credle has stimulated the community and now the church represents one of the largest congregations in Pamlico County.
